1 | The Como cathedral:

2 | Church of Sant’Abbondio in Como
The basilica of Sant’Abbondio is a magnificent example of Lombard Romanesque architecture. 4 | Bellagio on Lake Como

6 | Broletto Palace in Como
Ancient municipal building, the Broletto (from the Latin term “brolo”, that is field, open space where citizens gathered and therefore by extension the place in charge of holding city assemblies) was built in 1215 by the will of the mayor Bonardo da Cadazzo next to the Cathedral, almost as if to symbolize the continuity between the bishop’s civil authority and the new municipal power that extended its control over the diocesan territory.

8 | Volta Temple in Como
The building in the shape of a neoclassical temple erected on the lakefront celebrates the figure and work of the great physicist from Como Alessandro Volta. The museum, conceived and financed by the industrialist and patron Francesco Somaini, was built on the occasion of the first centenary of the death of the inventor of the battery (1927) to house the scientific instruments that belonged to him.
9 | Cernobbio on Lake Como
An elegant tourist resort on the shores of Lake Como and at the foot of Monte Bisbino, Cernobbio owes its name to the presence of an ancient Cluniac convent (Coenobium) built around the year one thousand. The heart of the town is Piazza Risorgimento, also known as the “Riva”, which directly overlooks the lake. In addition to the enchanting views, Cernobbio is known for the presence of many prestigious villas.
10 | Casa del Fascio in Como
The Casa del Fascio, as the name can easily guess, was built between 1932 and 1936. The architecture belongs to the fascist era, therefore squared off with concrete walls. The beam house is located in Piazza del Popolo, 4. The building is owned by the municipality, where administrative offices reside.
